What HIPAA requires of a marketing platform
HIPAA requires that any vendor handling protected health information (PHI) implement technical, administrative, and physical safeguards and sign a Business Associate Agreement (BAA). A platform is not HIPAA-eligible unless the vendor will sign a BAA — and even then, compliance can be broken by enabling non-compliant features later.
